Explode Your Search Engine Results Without Ever Paying for Advertising Again

When I first started my online business, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. With the help of a friend, we mapped out the initial business plan I would follow to success. The funny thing is that neither one of us had any clue how the internet worked, but armed with professional certifications in accounting and auditing and with a ton of high quality work experience we figured that we had this nailed. We did not.

The one good thing about starting the business was that I could not invest any real capital into the business to get it off and running, as many businesses are required to do when first starting out. I had a meager startup budget of $100. This proved to be my strength and not a weakness as I originally thought it would be.

After getting started with a domain name, arranging hosting, building my web site and then finally publishing, I was astonished by how many "opportunities" came my way to help me achieve success. Everyone had a best of that and a best of this. If I took part in just a few of these great ideas, I would have drawn down my budget and some more in no time.

I had to be innovative, and this is what I did. I decided to do everything that I could free or it would not be done.

I listed my site in every free directory I could locate. I listed my web address on every search engine that I could locate on the Internet. I sought out as many high quality competitor link exchange programs. I wrote an e-book and started an affiliate program of my own. I began writing articles to post out as free content.

So how will my experience of doing everything free help explode your search engine results? Let us look at what is going on here.

E-tailing and opportunities it opens to businesses

With the fast development of various e-business solutions companies seek for new opportunities to get in touch with customers and build new type relationships. If in planning everything looks pretty simple and straightforward, in reality there are a lot of issues that shall be considered prior to launching full scale implementation. E-tailing is exactly this kind of beast. It brings a lot of operational and financial benefits, but it needs to be tamed (Papers4you.com, 2006).

The essence of e-tailing

Retailing is frequently viewed as the integral part of the marketing mix strategy (Leny & Weitz, 1998), where "place" plays the role of the transactional environment (Underhill, 2000). With the development of e-commerce the companies from different goods and service industries decided to become closer to customers by opening e-stores and managing e-tailing. Various traditional players like Gap, Tesco, Asda, HP, Cisco and new ones like Amazon, E-Bay, Lastminute.com opened electronic stored to satisfy instantly the customer needs. Of course, there are numerous examples of the successful e-tailing operations. However, it is important to remember that not all of the entrants in e-commerce were that successful (see Mahajan et al., 2002 ). The point is that e-tailing is not the scheme which is easy to implement. There are a number of aspects that shall be considered. For instance the importance of product physicality and the influence of other buyers on the purchase decision (see Underhill, 2000). The great number of fashion related items or products that are connected with self-image concept require the possibility of trying the product and see the reaction of others. Without it the whole process of purchase lack important chemistry which makes it so addictive.

The suitability of certain product line-up with e-tailing depends on the degree of the involvement which is necessary for the successful purchase decision. Certain products can be treated as trivial as they required little involvement and does not incur significant costs in case of wrong purchase. While other products are very individual specific and require the high level of involvement prior to purchasing.

The other important element of "place" is atmospherics. For instance, potential customers might omit certain goods and not even recognize the want for them unless they are influenced by a certain stimuli like the combination of odour, lighting, colour effects, music and other elements of atmospherics. In case of e-tailing there shall be something that would compensate the absence of these elements. There may be great number of alternatives like door-to-door delivery, reduced prices, the recommendations of experts , price and quality comparative tables to name a few. What e-tailing concept shall definitely have is the bunch of value-added benefits which a customer would never get in a traditional retailing environment (Papers4you.com, 2006).

To conclude this overview it is important to remember that e-tailing is not the extension of traditional retailing. It is new environment with its specific rules of engagement where customers perceive a lot of things differently from the way they would do in brick-and-mortar environment.

Is Internet Marketing just Another JOB?

There was a thread on my forum this week in which a few members were discussing how many hours they spent working on their online businesses.

A handful of members admitted to putting in over 40 hours per week working online and I have to say, this is not uncommon. When I first started my Internet businesses, it was normal for me to work into the early hours and then grab a couple of hours sleep before getting up to squeeze another hour in before I went to my real job. When I left my job and went full-time, my hours online increased dramatically.

Even today (when so many of my day to day tasks are automated) I still work a minimum of 35 hours a week and this can rise to over 100 hours if I have a specific project on the go. It's not just me - you will find that most successful online marketers work some serious hours, probably many more than they ever did in any 'proper' job.

So is this online business thing just a big con? By setting up a successful Internet business are you merely committing yourself to a different type of job? Possibly yes but at least you get to do things on your own terms :-)
By pure coincidence, I noticed another thread in a completely different forum this week in which someone was asking a very similar question but in a slightly different way. The lady in question had given herself a target of earning (from memory) $2000 a month from her online business efforts. The last couple of months she had hit this target one or two days before the end of the month. This month however, she had already made the $2000 by the 18th. Her question was simply this, 'What do I do now? Do I continue working/promoting in order to earn more money or do I take the rest of the month off?' It's a fair question - whenever anyone talks about working online, they nearly always state that they can take as much time off as they want and the 'Internet lifestyle' dictates that once you have earned your salary for the month, you should spend the rest of the month lying on a beach somewhere!

Of course, it doesn't happen like this and although it would be nice to stop working on the 18th each month, it makes more sense to 'make hay while the sun shines' and continue pulling in the money. At the end of the day, every penny that you earn today puts you closer to complete retirement (as long as you are doing sensible things with some of your money such as saving and investing!)

One of the responses to the above post was a great little story which I have heard before and I thought I would share with you. It will give you something to think about and will help focus your mind as you set goals and targets in respect of your business and your life in general…..

One day a fisherman was lying on a beautiful beach with his fishing pole propped up in the sand and his solitary line cast out into the sparkling blue surf. He was enjoying the warmth of the afternoon sun and the prospect of catching a fish.

About that time, a businessman came walking down the beach trying to relieve some of the stress of his workday. He noticed the fisherman sitting on the beach and decided to find out why this fisherman was fishing instead of working harder to make a living for himself and his family.

"You aren't going to catch many fish that way" said the businessman to the fisherman, "you should be working rather than lying on the beach!"

The fisherman looked up at the businessman, smiled and replied, "And what will my reward be?"

"Well, you can get bigger nets and catch more fish!" was the businessman's answer.

"And then what will my reward be?" asked the fisherman, still smiling.

The businessman replied, "You will make money and you'll be able to buy a boat which will then result in larger catches of fish!"

"And then what will my reward be?" asked the fisherman again.

The businessman was beginning to get a little irritated with the fisherman's questions. "You can buy a bigger boat and hire some people to work for you!" he said.

"And then what will my reward be?" repeated the fisherman.

The businessman was getting angry. "Don't you understand? You can build up a fleet of fishing boats, sail all over the world, and let all your employees catch fish for you!"

Once again the fisherman asked, "And then what will my reward be?"

The businessman was red with rage and shouted at the fisherman, "Don't you understand that you can become so rich that you will never have to work for your living again! You can spend all the rest of your days sitting on this beach looking at the sunset. You won't have a care in the world!"

The fisherman, still smiling, looked up and said…

"And what do you think I'm doing right now ??"

In Internet Marketing, Choosing A Niche Is Of Vital Importance

The whole concept of Internet marketing is growing in popularity and is becoming one of the most profitable types of marketing available. So why would this be the case, quite simply there is no other market place with the capability of reaching such a wide spread audience.

Whether it be small, medium or a large concern, all businesses who find themselves in a position to market in this way can benefit from potentially millions of customers all around the world.

In truth most of us understand the concept of profiting from Internet marketing, but go about it in the wrong way. The ones who truly succeed are those who realise the power and importance of focusing their efforts on a specific tight niche.

In effect this means that the marketer focuses his or her marketing efforts on a specific area of interest, enabling them to have a more focused approach to their marketing efforts in an attempt to reach their customer base.

Finding Your Niche

The trick, and it is quite a trick is to find a niche market in the field of Internet marketing that is of interest to a sizeable audience but at the same time is not overly saturated.

The obvious reason for this is that you may well be trying to enter an already competitive market and one, which may have so much competition that profit and market share are hard to come by.

For an investor to enter within these types of market, they would require a truly creative strategy in offering something of superior quality or value to gain a market share.

On the other hand if a niche can be found which is not already saturated and has room for Internet marketers who know how to market to their target audience, you will have a market worth exploring.

In this situation you will find an audience of potential hungry buyers awaiting quality products or services to be made available. The smart business owner will realise what is needed to unlock and secure this potential.

Already I have spoken of the need and importance of selecting a niche on the Internet which is not already saturated, but consumer interest is strong. However there are other reasons for selecting a niche wisely, of course consumer interest is important has is your own passions and interests.

So why would this be so important? This reason for this is that your own passion will be a driving force behind your own success. You are more likely to take ownership of the products you wish to bring to market if you have a passion for them.

You will pride yourself over the quality and value of product you wish to bring to market, because of the knowledge and expertise you can impart upon your customers.

The fact that you care about your product or service will translate to your customers who will feed off your own passion and enthusiasm and reward you with sales and loyalty.

Is it possible to profit without a specific niche?

The answer quite simply is yes, but the task of profiting will be more difficult. Without a specific niche you may find yourself stretched. With a tightly focused niche you know your target market and ways to advertise to it.

Without this your time spent trying to finding effective advertisers may be doubled or tripled. Advertiser like to reach specific audiences and will consider partnering with some one who offers products and services which closely match and benefit their readers.

If it is not apparent what you specifically stand for or your products are too diverse advertisers may not feel that there is much benefit in collaborating with you.

This example related to advertising clearly illustrates the need to establish a niche market, but there are other important reasons in finding a niche market.

One such key point is reducing your workload, such as the research efforts. Conducting research into a very specific niche is likely to be much more easier and effective than attempting to do the same research over and over again in varied markets.

There may be many levels to a niche, nail it down look below the surface, some niches by definition may be varied and vast so look beyond the obvious, don't forget your aim is to find a tightly focused niche, which you can research, with many hungry customers, and ideally minimum or workable amounts of competition.

I hope that this provides you with an insight into some of the considerations you should have when entering into a niche.

5 Important Qualities You Need to Succeed in Affiliate Marketing

Perhaps a couple of the driving reasons why more and more people are becoming interested in one of the most popular businesses around, affiliate marketing, is because in this business, there are no bosses to order the employees around. There are no deadlines to meet and no clutter of work do to. One must merely be equipped with the tools needed to succeed. Educate yourself and be sure to find the right product and sales tools and you are bound to get what your heart ultimately desires.

Just what are the things needed to be able to succeed in affiliate marketing? What should you have within yourself to be able to do well in this industry? There is a lot of competition involved in affiliate marketing, and in order to rise above the average Joes, you must be equipped with just the right stuff necessary to propel yourself forward. Here are five things you must ultimately possess if you want to achieve the heights you are yearning for in this business, and these five things are a must in order to stand out among the rest.

The very first quality you must possess if you want to try your hand in affiliate marketing is the willingness and ability to learn and be trained. Wading through unfamiliar territory can be scary stuff if you are not properly equipped, and you could get lost in the sea of the unknown. Learning the tricks of the trade is also an important aspect of the game, and your willingness to know a few things before taking the plunge will give you far more advantages in the business than you could ever imagine.

The second quality you must possess is a willingness to invest time and effort even when direct results do not seem at all apparent. Although some time may pass without "fantastic" results, it is important for you to persevere and keep plugging at it. It is this quality which will keep you from giving up after investing a lot of yourself in the business.

The third quality you must possess is self-determination. If you want to conquer the affiliate marketing world, you must have the ability to push yourself ahead. Never having to say die is a quality each and every affiliate marketer should possess, and the ability to motivate yourself into scaling greater heights is an ability which would actually take an affiliate marketer there.

The fourth quality you must possess is discipline. If you know how to teach yourself to work everyday with all the energy you can muster, then you are close to achieving what you have set your heart to having in the first place.

The fifth but certainly not last quality you must possess is optimism. You must not allow negative attitudes and hearsay discourage you from pursuing what you need in order to make life better for yourself and your loved ones.

The ingredients for success in a business such as affiliate marketing are diverse but the most important thing you need to make it big lies within yourself alone. It is you that possesses the capacity to do everything needed to realize your goals.

Affiliate marketing is all about putting your fate into your own hands. The right attitude is the key.

How To Set Up Your eBay Seller Account The Easy Way

If you think eBay might be a good place to make some extra cash, then you're right. With 157 million shoppers, and 100,000 new users each day, eBay is a hot market. It is an excellent place for potential sellers of all experience levels to quickly and inexpensively set up shop. The user-friendly environment makes it a great place for the budding entrepreneur to learn the ropes while taking very little financial risk.

This report will provide tips and warnings of potential pitfalls that will assist you in setting up your account, listing your first auctions, filling orders, and following up with your new customers so they come back and buy from you again. Following these instructions will lay a solid foundation for the long-term success of your new eBay venture.

Setting up Your Seller Account

There are two important things you should consider prior to setting up your eBay seller account. The first is what email address you will use, and the second is what your User ID will be.

You should avoid using a free email address for your account if at all possible. The best solution is to use an email address on your own domain, the second best solution is one with your internet service provider (ISP), and the final and lest favorable solution is to use a free email address such as hotmail, yahoo mail, or gmail. I recommend using separate email addresses on the same domain for your eBay and PayPal accounts (we'll talk about PayPal later). This will help you keep your auction and payment communications separate.

You should think carefully about your User ID prior to registering with eBay. You are going to want to "brand" yourself in a way that your customers remember and recognize you. Your eBay User ID is an important element of the branding process. You are free to change your User ID later, however this is not advisable if you can avoid it. Changing your User ID may result in your customers not being able to find your auctions later.

When selecting your brand or User ID, you should consider what you will be selling and what image you want to present to your customers. If you already have another business that your eBay business will tie into, then you will want your eBay User ID to reflect that. In that case your ID should probably be your existing business name, or an abbreviated version of it.

If you will be selling primarily collectibles, then your eBay User ID should reflect that in some way. If your focus is cheap items in general, then your ID should emphasize cheap (my first eBay User ID was 99_cent_guy, and all of my auctions started at 99 cents). If you're going to specialize in college textbooks, then your ID should indicate that in some way. Ensuring that your User ID reflects what you sell will assist greatly in ensuring that existing and potential customers are able to find you when they want to purchase what you are selling.

The use of website addresses (URLs) and email addresses in eBay User IDs is prohibited. I have personally found a way around this by using an asterisk before and after the URL (*www.yourwebsitehere.com*), however doing this could result in eBay requiring a change to the User ID.

Web Design Broken Down From The Beginning

In recent times websites have become an integral part of any business, and a good website can be a marketing tool for the company by speaking for itself. This is opening up the market for quality web designing, and web designers need to create that winning look for their clients.

Websites usually have a home page with links to other sub pages, and web design is the designing of such web pages. The home page design could be different from other pages or the whole site can have a constant design. Any web design involves three basic components such as content, style and interactivity. Web content consists of both text and images, and text content needs to be unique and simple and the content is defined by CSS. The interactivity of a website can be defined using Java or open source scripts.

The most prominent feature of a web page is the web banner, which is designed using design tools such as flash or Photoshop. The web buttons, menus and slices also lend a definite character to the website. The choice of right colors and fonts is also important for the visual appeal of the website, and the overall effect of the website is the result of content, style and multimedia.

Websites can be created from scratch and they can also be done with the help of web design templates. These design templates have a basic style, presentation and web banners and menu bars too, which can be modified. Techniques such as templates can dynamically allow you to edit the design across the entire site by using just one file. Many applications out there allow you to setup a template so you can save a tremendous amount of time. For example most of the beginner web developers tend to create a page one at a time, which would include the entire layout of the page to be re-downloaded each time you go from page to page. Well with more effective way of doing things you would first create a template with your design into it, and then "INCLUDE" each of your content section's via separate pages. This is where xhtml, php, asp, all come in very handy. For a page to do a certain function you don't need to write an entirely separate page of code to do something, you can easily create a function or separate content and "include" it in your document as a source addition.

Yes! Now You Can Replicate The Techniques Used By Super Affiliates And Duplicate Their Success!

<b>Super Tip #1</b>

Article submission. This is truly a very very powerful free tool you can harness. I will give you a real life example. I had, prior to this, submitted ONE article with my link to my "Clickbank Profit Machine" ebook and had 2 sales from it a day later. Can you imagine that? One single article = 2 Sales. Perhaps it is a fluke, a one off incident but there is no denying that it works! An article just like this! The thing is you cannot submit your affiliate links directly in your resources box (xxxx.cbkprofit.hop.clickbank.net) but rather, you can sign up for a free website and set that site to redirect to your affiliate link. Problem solved! You would have no problems submitting your articles with that link.

<b>Super Tip #2</b>

Selecting the product to promote. You really have to take a myriad of factors into consideration. I suggest you do this, select 6 products that you deem are profitable to promote and wither it down to eventually 2. What criteria should you base this on? You should look into price, commission paid, sales copy, affiliates resource page and responsiveness of the vendor.

<b>Super Tip #3</b>

Buy the product, mail the vendor. Because only when you have bought the product and tried and tested it out could you know if it works! This will help greatly in writing those articles and promoting it to your friends and/or relatives. Sending a mail to the vendor is not only to test his responsiveness but also to ask him for some tips to promote his product. I am sure he or she will be more then happy to help and he or she will know best what kind of promotion techniques best converts.

The World of Internet

Internet… It entered our lives not so long ago, but made a revolutionary change in the lives of all the mankind. Internet brought a new quality of communication, information, services, etc into the world. It helps to sell and buy, communicate and find soul mates; it provides you with essay help and entertains when you feel sad. Its missions are countless. It is our reliable companion in life. As students we order custom essays on the net, as grown ups we use it every hour in our work, older people use internet instead of books, guidebooks, maps, etc. We can't ignore the influence of the internet on our lives. Some say it is negative, the others state it is positive. But it is not all black and white. In this article my aim is to discuss influence of the Internet on person's mind. Internet is distinguished by a high speed of information exchange. That is why we have a completely new level of relations between a person and a computer, between two people with computer's help.

We tend to perceive greater amount of information more quickly and we discover new capabilities of our brains, a completely new perception of the old information. Computer specialists have more logically structured mental processes. It enables them to express their ideas more clearly and with more precision, they are more self
